About Me

Diving has been my passion since 2006, having trained and qualified as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer in Koh Tao, Thailand i have been fortunate to have travelled to many exciting dive locations around the world doing what I like best "taking photos". After completing 17 teaching specialities it was obvious from the beginning that underwater photography was the direction I wanted to follow.

My passion for underwater photography stemmed from the art of trying to attain good buoyancy whilst trying to operate a heavy complex SLR camera and strobes at the same time... if you have both skills then you just have to hope the subject you're trying to shoot is as cooperative and that you achieve the correct lighting set up.. My philosophy about being in the water and around the corals and amazing wildlife is "Take nothing but photos" "Leave nothing but bubbles" 

Remember, however hard it is to get that "Money Shot" ensure always you capture the image in your mind first, the photo is just a bonus. So lift your head away from the screen or LCD from time to time and look around your dive site and enjoy the moment.

I have just moved into the mirrorless arena with the purchase of a Sony A7 RIII with nauticam housing and port set up.

My previous choice of photography equipment is the Canon D1X Mk2 SLR Camera, Nauticam Housing, 2 x Sea & Sea Strobes (optically triggered and with TTL Control, and fisheye lens.
